Information about Girona Airport
Girona Airport
Girona Airport is situated just 12km south of the city of Girona, next to the small village of Vilobi d´Onyar, in the north-east of Catalonia. Well connected to Barcelona, the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava, including the resorts of Lloret de Mar, L´Estartit, Blanes, and the ski resort of Andorra, Girona serves over 4.8 million passengers per year.
As a relatively small airport, Girona may not have all the facilities of its larger counterparts, but still offers passengers shops selling duty free goods, souvenirs, newspapers and magazines, plus two café bars selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Passenger numbers grew significantly when Ryan Air chose Girona as one of its European hubs in 2005, and Girona also provides a convenient alternative to Barcelona Airport, which is situated 92km to the south.Contact telephone: 0034 972 186600
